About

I'm Nicole, I'm a person in recovery,

A nurse, a mother, a wife, a writer, a dancer, a person passionate about experiencing and integrating all life has to offer.

I entered recovery in spring 2005 and have maintained active and continuous sobriety ever since. I acknowledge and hold space for the many ways our journeys bring us into seeking recovery and the varied pathways our recovery can take.

Working in healthcare since 2007, I found myself desiring a way to bring all aspects of myself and my life experiences into the work I do so that I could live more fully and authentically, beyond stigma, and of greater benefit to myself and others.

Then the pandemic happened. I started hearing and reading the stories of how the stress and isolation on healthcare workers during this time and the staffing crisis that followed, was impacting my fellow HCWs. I wondered if there was more that I could be doing to help.

In the summer of 2022, I did my training with Still Here to become a certified recovery coach followed by a 20-week mentorship program.

I have a variety of lived and professional experiences to draw from including: retail industry, office and corporate work, adult entertainment, healthcare, being unstably housed to home-ownership, living as a Single sober young person to becoming a stepmom and then a mother. I have a long list of volunteer experience focusing on supporting individuals affected by cancer.

As someone in recovery and who also works in end-of-life care, I help people through the spectrum of living and dying well. I am here with you, wherever you are.

I’m not afraid of the dark places because I have been there and bring my own light so we can find our way. I carry a spark of humor and joy along with me.

I consider myself an edge-walker, someone who has been through and walked to the edges of experiences and is building bridges of connections between those worlds. For me recovery coaching is about connections- finding connections to others, ourselves, the places we have been and the pathways we want to reach. Let’s take a walk together.
